Merchant of Record
All payments for Splainly are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our Merchant of Record. This means your purchase is made from Lemon Squeezy, and Lemon Squeezy's Terms of Service and this Refund Policy apply to your transaction.
Right to Cancel & 14-Day Refund Window
You may request a refund for any reason within 14 days of your initial purchase. If you exercise this right within the 14-day period, you will receive a full refund of the charges you have paid.
Exception: If during that 14-day period you began downloading, streaming, using, or otherwise benefiting from the Service — and during your purchase you agreed for the Service to be made available before the end of the 14-day period — you may not be entitled to a refund.
Consumers residing in the EU/EEA and UK have a statutory right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days in accordance with Lemon Squeezy's Terms of Service.
Watermark Removal Refunds
You may request a refund on a watermark removal within 14 days of purchase. If a refund is issued, the Splainly watermark is added back to that video's download, hosted link, and embed.
Earlier Subscriptions & Credits
Subscriptions and credits purchased before we moved to free videos with optional watermark removal are handled under the refund policy that applied when you bought them. Contact us and we will help.
Free Videos
Creating videos is free, so there is nothing to refund.
Chargebacks
We encourage you to contact us directly before disputing a charge or raising a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. This often results in faster resolution than a chargeback process. Filing a chargeback without first attempting to resolve the issue with us may result in account suspension while we investigate.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, contact us at the email below with your account email and a brief explanation. Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days to your original payment method.
